Tonight, the City Winery will host Rock & Wine—a rock and roll photography class and wine pairing at their location in Manhattan. Tickets range from Bar Stool for $42 per guest to VIP for $50 per guest and all include eight 1 ounce pours of wine.

The wine portion of the event will be led by Jean-Luc Le Dû, wine connoisseur and owner of Le Dû’s Wines in the West Village. Le Dû acquired his knowledge from sampling wines at vineyards as a hobby in the ’80s, and has since received recognitions—including the 2004 James Beard Foundation’s “Outstanding Wine Service Award.” His store in the village was named #1 NYC wine shop on Zagat.

The photography portion of the event will be led by Bob Gruen, an acclaimed photographer who is prominent for working with John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones. He has also documented new wave and punk projects, including The Clash, Blondie and the Sex Pistols.

Gruen will lead guests on a journey through rock and roll’s history using photography, and Le Dû will pair each photograph with a wine varying in acidity, body and appellation. The event is from 8-10:30 p.m., but doors will open at 6 p.m.
