Federal Hall National Memorial
With trendy restaurants, cool venues, and beautiful parks, Lower Manhattan has a promising future. But like many cultural hot spots, Downtown New York is also home to a handful of historic sights and valuable artifacts. To honor Lower Manhattan’s rich history, fourteen museums are opening up their doors to the public next week, just for one night.
The Night At The Museums will be held on Tuesday, June 24th as a part of the 2014 River to River festival. From 4pm to 8pm, the public will be granted free admission to participating exhibits, including the Museum of Jewish Heritage, the National Archives at New York City, the National 9/11 Memorial Museum, Sky Scraper Museum, among others. The museums, all within walking distance, hold some of the Nation’s most prized cultural treasures.
