Celebrities are as common to Lower Manhattan as men in business suits, but they are gracing us with more than just their presence. Many have embarked in investing in restaurants, giving us celebrities sighting hot spots and even better food.

Downtown Magazine has picked out a few that make your taste buds feel like an A-lister as well.

79 Macdougal Street, New York, NY 10012

This Greenwich Village establishment with a casual upscale vibe is a seafood lover’s paradise.  This place also features fish sticks for the kids and, for the teenage girls, Harry Styles has been sighted here.

Locanda Verde- Robert De Niro

This Italian food haven is nearly impossible to get into, but if you are lucky enough to get in, you will understand why this is a favorite of local New Yorkers and celebrities alike.

The Spotted Pig- Jay Z, Bono (affiliates)

314 West 11th Street, at Greenwich Street
New York, NY 10014

Owned by restauranteur Ken Friedman, this gastropub serving European-inspired dishes has a wide range of celebrity owners, and is frequently visited by Taylor Swift and Kanye West. But be prepared for their infamous wait, they do not take reservations.

Laughing Man Coffee & Tea- Hugh Jackman

184 Duane St, New York, NY 10013

Jackman started the coffee shop that is said to have the best flat white in town after a trip to Ethiopia. If Hugh Jackman isn’t enough to get you to try it, 50% of the proceeds go to Jackman’s Laughing Man Foundation.
