Best St. Patrick’s Day Bars

Going to the Fifth Avenue parade and heading to a bar afterwards is a popular way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. But don’t know where you want go after trekking around the city? Here’s a list of three bars that are ideal to celebrate the famous Irish holiday.

230 Fifth

230 Fifth is a rooftop bar that offers stunning views with their great drinks. Customers can sip their beer on one of their two floors overlooking the NYC skyline. If it’s chilly after the parade, don’t worry – they partially heat the rooftop when it gets too cold. For St. Patrick’s Day, they have drink specials from 4 p.m. to 8 p. m. – $8 for a beer and a shot of Jameson, and $7 for a pint of Guinness.

Dempsey’s

Don’t want to break out of your St. Patrick’s mood? Head over to Dempsey’s, an Irish bar that’s also popular for watching sports. Every Tuesday they have live Irish music night, letting you celebrate the holiday all year round! The bar is stocked with favored drinks such as Guinness and whiskeys to satisfy the most avid of drinkers. If you’re looking to have more fun, you can play pool and darts in the back.

Thunder Jackson’s

Planning on celebrating the day with a large group of buddies? Thunder Jackson’s may be for you. This large bar is stuffed with places to sit, making it an ideal place to bring your friends. If you’re one of the few who isn’t too crazy about downing beer on St. Patrick’s Day, Thunder Jackson’s also features favored fish bowls and sangrias.
