WEEKLY MOVING TIP FROM FLATRATE #7

by | Jul 9, 2015 | Downtown Living

FlatRate has all the resources to make sure that your move is as seamless as possible! These include great tips that you can use on your next move:

Staying Organized

Remember those Trapper Keepers that you used to keep all your sixth-grade homework in one place? Those were handy. Find a more modern version (although a vintage Trapper Keeper would be sweet) to keep all your moving papers organized. You are going to need to keep track of your move plan, all the papers and confirmation from utilities, information from your moving company, along with a ton of other pieces of paper. Find one with slots for business cards, so you can keep track of contact info for any real estate agents, mortgage brokers, home inspectors, or other service providers you might need in the future, like appliance repairmen, contractors, roofers and landscapers. Also, beyond the move binder, pack yourself a kit to survive the first night in your new home: a bottle of wine for that night, a coffeemaker for the next morning and familiar stuffed animals for the kids to fall asleep with.
