Weekly Moving Tip From FlatRate #3

FlatRate has all the resources to make sure that your move is as seamless as possible! These include great tips that you can use on your next move:

Packing Books:

The first piece of advice is don’t pick boxes that are too big. You would rather have a lot of small-to-medium-sized boxes rather than a few really big ones, because, well, books are heavy. If you back a big box with a lot of books, you are going to end up with one very heavy box and a couple of unhappy movers. But even before you pick out your book boxes, consider what sections of your library you really want to lug across town or to another city. Libraries still exist and so do e-readers. You don’t need to keep the hundreds and hundreds of books that you have been amassing since you were five. Start by making a pile of books that you absolutely have to keep; the ones that really changed your life or have a lot of information to reference. Then look to donate all those dog-eared paperbacks or fad diet books bloating your bookshelves.
