WEEKLY MOVING TIP FROM FLATRATE #20

by | Oct 15, 2015 | Downtown Living

FlatRate has all the resources to make sure that your move is as seamless as possible! These include great tips that you can use on your next move:

How to Declutter Before the Move

Ask yourself this question: Have you used the item in the last six months? If the answer is no, donate it or sell it. By hosting a garage sale, you can squeeze a bit of extra cash out of never-used serving platters and little-used, one-trick kitchen appliances. Yes, you had big plans for the hand-crank pasta maker when you bought it at the flea market, but you haven’t used it in two years. In fact, you have never even made pasta from scratch. Going through all your possessions and only holding on to the ones that are really useful or significantly sentimental will be a slightly painful process. But counting up the extra cash, moving freely through uncluttered spaces in your home and seeing the reduced moving bill will make that pain float away.
