Weekly Moving Tip From FlatRate #13

by | Aug 27, 2015 | Downtown Living

FlatRate has all the resources to make sure that your move is as seamless as possible! These include great tips that you can use on your next move:

Packing Fine Art

Paintings, sculptures and framed prints are important to you, most likely, and they could be considered investments. Protecting them while you move is essential. Buy the proper packing materials, such as painters tape to protect glass frames and acid-free paper to wrap paintings. Find boxes specifically designed to transport paintings. Tubes are the best bet for posters and other prints that can be rolled up. For sculptures and other 3D pieces, find boxes large enough to hold them comfortably and fill them with bubble wrap, Styrofoam peanuts or old sheets/blankets that will cushion the items during the move.
