According to developers Premier Emerald LLC, a 27-story hotel is being built in the Financial District, spanning from 11-13 Stone Street. The new hotel is almost 57,000 square feet and will contain 143 rooms.

Before the construction of the hotel started, the lot was home to a smaller six-story building, which was demolished earlier in the month. Recently, plans showcasing what the new building have gone up, thanks to the new on-site signage.

11 Stone Street will be distinct from the other newer hotels in the Financial District, as it will feature minimal setback from the street-wall and only some semblance of ornamentation above its base, according to New York YIMBY. The structure is also not expected to stand out among the other buildings in the Financial District, with a completion height at 295 feet.

Completion of the project is expected in June of 2018.
