Game On! Summer Block Parties in Lower Manhattan

The Downtown Alliance has produced Game On!a series of four block parties in Lower Manhattan. All of the parties will be on Water St. between Wall St. and Old Slip and start at 5 p.m. The first was on June 17 and the upcoming dates are July 8, August 12 and September 9.

The closest street party on July 8 will feature band, Caveman, and DJ, Sweekuh. There will be drinks for cash provided by Cedar Local, a Lower Manhattan bar that’s drink menu is divided between spirits labeled “Old Money” and “New Money.”

There will be several games, including classics like Giant Jenga, Shuffleboard provided by Royal Palms, Around the World by Kill Screen, and a street game supplied by Playmatics.

The street parties will all conclude with a rooftop film on the Elevated Acre at 55 Water St. The film scheduled for July 8 is White Men Can’t Jump and will start at 8:30 p.m.

On August 12, the movie scheduled is Karate Kid and on September 9 Rudy will close the block party series.

Taylor Wise will DJ at the August 12 party and the band Born Cages will play on September 9. But there are two more performers that haven’t been announced.
