This June Governors Island is hosting its 11th annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. On June 11 and 12 and again on August 13 and 14, Governors Island as we know it will be transformed into 20’s prohibition Era paradise. Though no official program for 2016 has been announced yet, we hear there will be plenty of activities to partake in.

Join in on a dance lesson or two before skipping on over to join the Charleston dance off or check out the High Court Pie contest with categories such as “Mom’s Best” and “Hobo’s Choice.” Whether you just want to enjoy a slice of pie or have a recipe to enter, this contest is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
