Hollywood came alive once again on Sunday night, as the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The 21st annual SAG Awards Show paid tribute to the year’s best work in television and movies, while also showcasing the latest trends in fashion and beauty.

Let’s start from the top. With a combination of down and up dos, loose waves were a popular choice in the hair department. This trend was worked into the hairstyles of many celebs, with Reese Witherspoon showcasing her long blonde locks in a sleek wavy ponytail, and Rosamund Pike enjoying a wavy bob – one of the seasons must have hairstyles.

Ruby red lips were popular on the carpet, with stars including Emma Stone and Lupita Nyong’o rocking the trend. However, natural shades seemed to be the go-to make up look this awards season, with nudes, pale pinks and light golds a popular choice for many of those on the red carpet. Jennifer Aniston looked effortless wearing Chanel make-up products, showcasing a nude lip and subtle eyes. Nude was also the go to look for manis, with many stars including Sofia Vergara and Sarah Hyland opting for a subtle and sleek pale pink nail.

In terms of accessory trends, celebs just couldn’t get past last year’s favorite – the edgy ear cuff. Tatiana Maslany and Keira Knightly owned the ear cuff, showcasing a collection of silver and diamond pieces up their right ear.

As for fashion, it didn’t get much better than royal purple, plunging necklines, sheer overlay gowns and high thing slits. Camila Alves wore purple to perfection in Donna Karan, adding a perfect pop of colour to the carpet. Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts were just a few of the celebs who took the plunge in low neckline styles, while Sophia Bush and Julianna Margulies took a page from Angelina Jolie’s book, rocking the thigh high slit.

The SAG carpet was full of amazing style this year, however as we know, the bad always comes with the good in the form of best and worst dressed. However, that’s for you to decide!
