Downtown art enthusiasts have an exciting new art fair to look out for, which will take place in the historic Federal Hall National Memorial Building.

The inaugural Portal Art Fair will feature installations by 40 artists throughout the building from May 4th though 10th. It will open in tandem with Frieze New York, an artistic conglomerate that hosts galleries, talks and restaurants in Randall’s Island Park. Guests will be able to view the many instillations at the art fair free of charge.

The india was conceived through a partnership between the National Park Service and 4heads Inc. Launched in 2008, 4heads is an arts nonprofit that helps connect the community to emerging artists through public exhibitions, collaborations and educational programming. Another one of their large-scale artistic undertakings is Governors Island Art Fair, which brings artists and fans to a 100-room setup on Governors Island.

The event will be a great resource for discovering upcoming artistic talent. It will also give urbanites the chance to explore the Federal Hall National Memorial Building, which has long and rich history.

More information on the Partal Art Fair can be found 4heads’ website.
