NYC Events: #CreateGood by Brit + Co

Today marks the opening of #CreateGood, a pop-up by Brit + Co. Founded by Brit Morin, the unique media platform has encouraged users to create, learn, and engage for nearly six years.

Nestled on the borders of SoHo and Chinatown, this is the West-Coast based outlet’s first foray into NYC and the 5-day experience is aiming to make a brightly-colored splash.

But don’t be fooled by its well decorated interior (which mimics the aesthetic the site is known for), this project is about more than Instagram likes.

True to form, Morin and her team created an interactive space that seeks to inspire, connect, and educate all who enter it. It’s a living organism that transforms from morning to night, and there’s always something new to see.

During the day, the area acts as a curated museum with installations that engage the five senses, and includes hands-on activities – like arcade games that you can play to raise money for charity.

By the early evening room evolves to host panels on different topics each night– from business building, to style, art, and more. Each session features speakers that range in age from 12 to 96 years old, it’s a diverse lineup that brings a lot to the table.

Into the late evening #CreateGood changes into a workshop space, where experts teach classes on topics like how to minimalize your life, design your own stationary, change up your meal-prep and more.

But that’s not all – there’s also special sessions that feature fitness classes from dance-cardio studio 305 Fitness and family-friendly brunches (one features puppies, another Disney-sponsored activities).

It’s clear from the itinerary alone that Morin and her team of fearless creatives want to inspire New York and it’s visitors to literally create and do good and it’s definitely worth a stop this weekend. For more information on #CreateGood click here.
