For the 9th consecutive year, the city will be holding the annual Manhattan Film Festival! The festival will run its course until June 25.

Director Ramon Fernandez will be screening his documentary, Glory Daze: The Life And Times of Michael Alig at the Players Theatre at 9 p.m. on June 20nd.

Players Theatre
115 Macdougal St
New York, NY 10012

The screening will have a Q&A to follow and an appearance made by Michael Alig himself.

Alig is an American New York City former club promotor who ran the Club Kids, a group of young NYC club goers. He reigned over NYC’s nightlife in the early ’90s and gained notoriety after being sentenced to 17 years in prison for murdering and dismembering fellow Club Kid, Andre Melendez.

The documentary features pre/post-incarceration interviews with Alig, as well as interviews with other infamous Club Kids. Lawyers, industry insiders like Patricia Field, Kenny Kenny, Johnny Dynell, and nightlife veterans like Michael Musto, R. Couri Hay, and Steve Lewis are also featured. The film spotlights Alig’s personal growth, experience in prison, and development from when he entered jail, to the man he is now.
