Arriving at the event under umbrellas, guests were escorted into the Battery Bosque to sip on signature Hibiscus cocktails and take part in various silent auctions as the 19th Battery Gala took place yesterday afternoon at the Battery Conservancy. After the initial cocktail hour, invites gathered at the Battery Promenade for dinner, where a live auction then took place and distinguished honorees received awards for outstanding leadership.
Current DOWNTOWN Advisory Board member, Laura L. Forese, MD, MPH and President of the NYP Healthcare System was honored with the Battery Medal for Humanitarian Leadership for her work as Group Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell medical center.
