125 Greenwich x Snarkitecture Highlights Architectural Design Downtown

by | May 11, 2016 | Culture

snarkcitymodel__bk_5745In celebration of NYCxDESIGN and downtown New York’s blossoming design scene, experimental design firm Snarkitecture has created an installation that celebrates the area and its prospective developments.

The installation, titled 125 Greenwich x Snarkitecture, paints a picture of the “new downtown,” including what 125 Greenwich Street will look like standing next to other buildings in its emerging neighborhood. SHVO, Bizzi & Partners Development, and New Valley are working together with Rafael Vinoly to create the new condominium building currently being built in the One World Trade neighborhood. When completed, 125 Greenwich Street will stand at 88 floors, 898 feet, with panorama views of downtown.

Snarkitecture’s installation will be displayed at Design Pavilion at Astor Place Plaza from May 7–11. The pavilion is serving as a public hub during design week and features a dynamic selection of creative structures and exhibits.
