If you were in Tribeca this weekend, you might have spotted the cast and crew of Paul Feig’s new Ghostbusters movie. The supernatural comedy flick features an all-female cast, and some speculative jokes have been circulating that the film’s working title is actually Ghostbusters: Ladies Division: High Heels & Hella Ghosts. Har har. But in the streets of New York, the film crew is going simply by Flapjack, for stealth purposes. In spite of going undercover, the movie makers were seen shooting last Saturday at the corner of Church Street and Duane Street in Tribeca.

We were a little disappointed to learn that the majority of filming is taking place off-location in Boston, MA. Because of advances in green screen technology, the new film is being shot almost entirely inside a warehouse with elaborate recreations of NYC street locations, including Times Square.

We are thankful that at least some of the scenes are being shot in the authentic stomping grounds of the 1984 original Ghostbusters, starring Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver. The new movie, which is set to release in July 2016, will of course feature a comeback performance from our favorite old Bill Murray, 30 years later, alongside Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig. This impressive female cast seems ready as ever to answer the age-old question: “Who ya gonna call?”
