On Monday, the award-winning Portuguese designer, Katty Xiomara, presented her Spring/Summer 2015 collection in New York at Nolcha Fashion Week.
The designer debuted a line much softer than her usual collections. She was inspired by the art form of a “chocolatier” and melted the geometric shapes that she is known for into softer and more organic forms. Silhouettes bloomed uniquely throughout the line which yielded a look that appeals to the working, urban woman with a practical sense of style.
White color and smooth materials were a constant, with black outlines and striking cut-outs seen consistently in the line. To close the show, Xiomara unveiled her collaboration with the mobile accessories company, OtterBox®, and their Alpha Glass™ technology: an all-new fortified glass screen protector for cellular phones called “The OtterBox® Dress.”
Celebrities including Kat Graham, Sammi Hanretty and Kristen Ruhlin were spotted in the front row, all wearing Katty Xiomara clothes.
