On Saturdays at 1 p.m., the Greenwich Village Literary Pub Crawl takes patrons to the literarily acclaimed bars of Lower Manhattan. The pub crawl meets at the White Horse Tavern on Hudson Street, and is $20 for regular admission and $15 for seniors and students.

The pub crawl began in 1998 and is the oldest remaining bar tour in the Village. Local actors lead all of the tours, and educate crawl-goers on how the Village’s literary history has shaped and impacted the different neighborhoods within it.

The tour visits pubs that influential writers have reveled at, and the pub crawl leaders have been distinguished in reviews as some of the most animated and talkative in the city. All tours are approximately three hours.

To preview the authors and books the leaders will reference, visit the literary pub crawl website.
