New Food Hall

Miso soup pour overs from Izakaya and Samurice, crispy dumplings by Nom Wah Kuai, Ippudo’s Kuro-Obi chicken broth ramen, sushi burritos from Uma Temakeria and bubble tea by Boba Guys are just some of the sweet and savory delights you’ll find at the new food hall inside Canal Street Market. Rare Beatles Photos

The exhibit “Fifty Years Later: The Beatles — All You Need Is Love” is a collection of never-before-seen (in the US) photographs taken by David Magnus during Our World, the very first live global satellite broadcast. A rare and unmissable treat for Beatles fans! FREE

Blue Note Jazz Fest

Now in its seventh year, the Blue Note Jazz Festival is a month-long jazz celebration with over 100 performances from a diverse lineup of artists and groups, among them Pat Metheny, Kool & The Gang, Dr. John, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Isley Brothers, Cassandra Wilson,  Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Incognito, Hiromi, Eddie Palmieri, McCoy Tyner,  Jacob Collier and many others. The Last Dragon

Presented in partnership with the Museum of Chinese in America, Berry Gordy’s “The Last Dragon”  is an homage to Bruce Lee, New York and music. Come watch this funky motown kung fu classic that tells the story of a young martial artist who stands up to the Shogun of Harlem, Sho’nuff. FREE

Participatory Art

The Figment Project is the sort of installation art exhibit that invites attendees to interact – touch, play, dance and move – with the art on display. Volunteer-based, with no corporate backing, Figment Project  is the embodiment of art for the people. Expect theater, dance, music, and lots of opportunities to make your own art! FREE

The World of Science

Have your mind blown at the World Science Festival! Enjoy a wide range of events that will cover topics such as communications, immortality, creativity, cooking, virtual reality, evolution and much more. Included in the schedule are fun, family-friendly events like Science in the Square, trivia night, Scientific Sails, The Great Fish Count and stargazing. FREE and paid events.
