Downtown Super Bowl Celebrations

Football, the most popular sport in the country, culminates this Sunday with Super Bowl 50, the golden anniversary of the NFL’s official title game. A matchup between both number one seeds, the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos, will draw the attention of over 110 million viewers. Some will decide to stay home to watch the big game. However, for those looking to join the hordes of bar-goers on Sunday, here are a few places worth checking out.

1. PHD/ 355 West 16th Street/ 5 p.m./ Admission: Open
Includes: Drink specials, snacks, and music by DJ Select.
2. The Village Pourhouse / 63 3rd Avenue/ 6:30 p.m./ Admission: $49
Includes: unlimited Bud light and well-drinks.
3. The Gander / 15 West 18th Street/ 4 p.m./ Admission: $65
Includes: unlimited beer, unlimited liquor based punch, and unlimited game favorite appetizers including wings, sliders, ribs, and mac and cheese. All served from 4 p.m. until the end of the game.
4. STK / 26 Little West 12th Street/ 5:30 p.m./ Admission: starting at $175
Includes: 5:30-8:30 open bar including a variety of beer, wine, and liquor. 5:30-9:30 Open buffet to include Fire Alarm Turkey Chili, Baked Potatoes, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Slider Station, Build Your Own Taco, Kobe Hot Dogs, Texas Style BBQ St Louis Ribs, Lamb Lollipops, Sweet Corn Pudding, and Cheese Fries.
