From Friday May 13 through Monday May 16 the organization Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour will be hosting their 20th annual exhibition walk, where Tribeca artists open up their studios to the public.
The self-guided tour will include stops at artist such as Martina Dietrich, Brian Delacey and Nora Beyrent and offers up a wide variety of artwork ranging from classic paintings and drawings to sculptures and fashion designs as well as art installations. The walking route takes the participants through Tribeca all the way down to One Art Space at 23 Warren. At this last stop the guests will be able to see a mirrored exhibition from Osaka, Japan where Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour has set up in Hankyu Umeda Gallery.
Since its first run in 1996, when it was called the Franklinfest, the Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour has attracted art aficionados as well as people just stumbling over the open studios and truly is an event for everyone. This year the tour is sponsored by ONE Art Space, Smyth Hotel, Salomon Arts Gallery, iList, Thalassa and Soho Photo and together the tour aims to show Tribeca’s vibrant art scene.
