Ladurée Opens Doors In SoHo

Céline Kaplan, of Céline Kaplan PR and Elisabeth Holder, co-President of Ladurée

Ladurée, the world’s favorite macaron shop, has finally opened its doors in the glamorous neighborhood of SoHo. But New York can’t take credit for these sweet treats. Ladurée first opened in France, back in 1862. The French brand arose during the 20th century, after Pierre Desfontaines had the unique idea of taking two macaroon shells and filling them with a delicious ganache filling. The birth of the macaron did not only impress those in France, but New Yorkers were also left with their mouth watering.

The latest Ladurée outpost flaunts a gorgeous entrance as well as a retail shop filled with delicious French treats, delicate confections, and of course, macarons. The attention to detail in the parlor is equally as impressive as the treats themselves. The gilded room, complete with fireplace and marble inspired by France’s Gustave Eiffel  is stunning and chic. But, the grand room leads to an unexpected delight in the garden.

With subtle furniture imported from France and a quiet atmosphere, SoHo’s Ladurée serves the neighborhood as a hidden gem only offered in New York City. The shop also has notepads and gifts that mirror the spirit of Ladurée, guaranteed to impress customers.

The menu includes: Ladurée Warm French Toast Served with Maple Syrup, Jam or Whipped Cream, Chocolate croissant, Fruit Salad, Smoked Salmon Served with Carolina Lemon Cream (Saumon Fume Servi Avec Sa Creme Mousseuse Citronnee Carolina), Tomato Stuffed with Vegetables, Rice Pilaf (Tomate Farcie Aux Legumes, Riz Pilaf) and much more.

Head to Ladurée’s beautiful SoHo location, 398 W Broadway.
