Gogobot is an innovative planning tool that tailors recommendations for places to stay, eat and play to your specific tastes. It also allows you to share your great experiences with people who have the same interests as you; people in your “tribes”. Gogobot’s ‘GoGo This Week’ feature empowers you to discover and take advantage of great events, openings and exhibits throughout the city each week. 1. Easter Egg Painting
Ukrainian Museum (East Village)
Sat, Mar 19th-Sun, Mar 20th 11am-1pm or 2-4pm

You won’t find pastels at this two-hour Easter egg decorating workshop. Participants will learn about and practice traditional Ukrainian Easter egg decorating, pysanky. Using wax, dyes and a stylus, to etch out symbolic Slavic motifs, you’ll want to keep all your eggs in one basket. Adults $15; students $1;kids $5.

2. Doughnut Fest!
Marquee (Chelsea)
Sat, Mar 19th with (check site for entry times)

Presented by Time Out, Doughfest is an afternoon of doughnut gorging from the city’s best doughnut producers, with complimentary cold brew coffee by Sweetleaf Coffee. Less discerning eaters can wash their doughnuts down with complimentary beer by Tsingtao. $37

3. Old School Diner
Mr. Donahue’s (Nolita)
Mon-Sat from 5-11pm;Sun from 5-10pm

While chefs push the envelop of new American cuisine, the pair behind Uncle Boons, invites diners to take a step back in American cuisine time, to the “meat-and-three” meals of the South. Their tiny new restaurant Mr. Donahue’s serves America old school classics like Swedish American Meatballs, Rotisserie Chicken and Roast Beef with sides including Egg Drop Soup and Marble Potatoes.

4. Irish Party 
Webster Hall (East Village)
Thurs, Mar 17th at 5pm

If you are looking bit of craic (that’s Irish for fun you junkie) after the St. Patrick’s parade, you will find it at Webster Hall with the electric Irish-American rock band Narrowbacks. They will share the stage with Girsa, an all female band that fuses traditional music of Ireland with modern folk. $25

5. Fairy Tale Fashion
Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (Chelsea)
Tues-Fri 12-8pm; Sat 10am-5pm

In Fairy Tale Fashion, fashion and storytelling go hand. In classic tales a piece of clothing or pair of shoes offer the protagonist endless possibilities–and, above all, complete transformation, the chance to escape the reality of self. On display are photos, illustrations and high fashion pieces from designers like Tom Ford, Dolce and Gabbana, Mary Katrantzou, Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Prada, and others “within dramatic, fantasy-like settings designed by architect Kim Ackert.” FREE

6. Irish in New York
St. Paul’s Chapel (Financial District)
Sat, Mar 19, at 1pm

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a lively affair, but you don’t have to brave the crowds to celebrate Irish culture. Our pick is Big Onion’s Irish New York tour that will take us to the “Little Ireland” district of Lower East Side to explores the sites and people that have contributed to the rich history of Irish immigrants in New York. $20.

7. Craft Beer Fest
Lexington Armory (Flatiron)
Fri, Mar 25th-Sat, Mar 26th (Check site for entry times)

At the Hand Crafted Tasting Co.’s Craft Beer Festival over 75 breweries from across the country will be showcasing their Limited Release and Seasonal selections, so you’re in a for a real brewer’s treat! Tickets start at $55 and include 2 1/2 hours of unlimited beer tasting.
