What’s your favorite oyster? This year we are welcoming farms from all across the country including party sponsor Fishers Island Oyster Farm in New York all the way west to Washington state and south to Virginia. At the party, farmers will shuck and guests will enjoy over 30,000 oysters. Test out your palette and taste how an oyster’s native merroir creates unique flavor, appearance, and texture.

VIP Hour

Secure a VIP ticket for an early access hour to mingle with farmers and chefs in an intimate setting. Don’t forget to ask farmers how their practices are contributing to local ecosystems.

Not tempting enough? VIPs will also enjoy a private oyster tasting from 6-7pm. Hog Island Oyster Co. from Marshall, California will be bringing east their famous BBQ Chipotle Bourbon Butter Oysters. Locals flood to taste these slightly sweet and spicy oysters. It starts with a freshly shucked oyster served hot off the grill and topped with their house-made garlic-bourbon-chipotle butter. With the VIP tickets, you can join early and kick off your summer with this west coast delicacy!

The Billion Oyster Project is an Initiative of the New York Harbor Foundation. Found out more on their website and follow them @BillionOyster on Instagram and Twitter.
