This February 28th, Winter Ball NYC 2026 marks a milestone moment for the New York Junior League as the organization celebrates 125 years of impact with its Gilded Legacy gala at Cipriani South Street.
Founded in 1901, the New York Junior League has grown from a small group of visionary women into one of the world’s oldest and most influential women-led volunteer organizations. For more than a century, NYJL volunteers have strengthened New York City through initiatives ranging from early settlement house support and child welfare reform to literacy, anti-trafficking efforts, and modern community advocacy. Since 1952, the Winter Ball has been a cornerstone of this mission, bringing the city together each year to raise vital funds that power the League’s community partnerships, leadership training, and advocacy programs.
The historic organization’s anniversary celebration has been set for the 74th Annual Winter Ball, “Gilded Legacy: Celebrating 125 Years of Impact,” to be held on February 28 at Cipriani South Street. The black-tie event is expected to be the League’s most significant fundraiser to date, with proceeds going towards programs that positively impact women, children, and families throughout New York City.
Following last year’s record-breaking gala, which raised more than $850,000, this year’s celebration is already shaping up to be another standout. VIP and dinner tickets are officially sold out, but Dessert & Dancing tickets remain available for those looking to join the festivities.
Early highlights include generous benefactor support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Morgan Stanley (via The Sack Group), and Urban Atelier Group. The live auction will feature a vintage Hermès Birkin from What Goes Around Comes Around, along with an ultra-luxe 6-night, 7-day stay for two at The Ranch Malibu.
With a century of Winter Ball tradition under its belt and 125 years of community impact to celebrate and honor, Gilded Legacy is sure to be an unforgettable night, one that not only honors the strength of women’s philanthropy but also directly impacts New York City’s most vital communities.
DOWNTOWN TIP: If you missed your Dinner Tickets, Dessert & Dancing is your opportunity to experience the magic and support a legacy that continues to shape the city.
From luxury auctions to dancing under gilded ceilings, Winter Ball NYC 2026 is set to be an unforgettable experience in support of women, children, and families across NYC.
