Along the boardwalk down by Brighton Beach sits a New American brasserie, Breva, where a menu filled with delectable dishes and flavorful drinks is paired with a relaxing beachside atmosphere. Breva is a must-visit spot for dinner or a quick boardwalk spritz and live entertainment before summer ends.
New on the menu, Caviar Tots.
Breva has a wide variety of coastal favorites, such as oysters and shrimp cocktail, as well as popular non-seafood fare such as double cheeseburgers and a selection of pizzas. They’ve introduced a new coastal menu by Food Network alum, Chef Travis McGinty, featuring standout options like caviar tots, lobster knuckles “escargot style,” and miso-poached black bass. They also feature a full bar with selections of beer, wine, and cocktails, including an exciting “Martini My Way,” inviting guests to personalize their martini. The summer patio is in full swing, offering beachside dining, and happens to make a beautiful spot to watch the sunset.

I indulged in the crispy calamari for starters, which lived up to its name; it paired nicely with the blood orange spritz, a refreshing mix of Aperol, blood orange, and prosecco. I then had the black angus steak frites, a 12oz ribeye served with french fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were the right amount of crispy and salted. The chocolate martini was outstanding, prepared with vanilla vodka, dark chocolate, crème de cacao, and Irish cream.

As if the menu wasn’t reason enough to dine at Breva, they are also featuring a variety of summer events worth checking out. Their summer Friday series, Le Plage de Brighton, features spritz carts on the boardwalk, shareable plates, and lovely live music from 4-6 PM. They also offer jazz brunch Sundays, opening at 11 AM with music beginning at 12:30 PM.
Before summer ends, make your way down to Brighton Beach and stop by Breva for an exquisite meal accompanied by a refreshing drink.
