Space Explorers: The ISS Experience is allowing New Yorkers to go to outer space without leaving the ground. Eclipso’s latest immersive experience is a chance to step inside the International Space Station, walking alongside astronauts performing daily tasks and spacewalks with cutting-edge free-roaming VR technology.
Virtual Reality
Upon arrival you are fitted with your own VR headset and given some basic instructions. If you’ve never done a virtual reality experience before, prepare to be mindblown.

Eclispo blends a detailed, 3D model of the ISS with actual filmed footage, curating an extremely lifelike experience. Visitors will be able to see the Earth seemingly rotating beneath their feet and share space with real astronauts.
A Guided Experience
There is a guiding voice that directs viewers throughout the 30-40 minutes of outer space. While in the VR realm you can clearly see other people and obstacles, making you safe and comfortable. Different chapters pace evenly out the experience. The voices of astronauts, recorded from their time in outer space, paint a picture of life on the ISS.
The Eclipso experience is unique because participants get to guide their own mission. Within each chapter there are colored orbs that you can move towards and tap to get real life footage from various ISS missions. Every viewer chooses a slightly different experience. Space Explorers: The ISS Experience is rooted in missions conducted by both NASA and other leading international space agencies.

Out of This World
State of the art cameras film both inside and out of the Space Station for a 360 degree view. Videos capture everyday conversations, a game of catch, and feet-tingling space walks. That’s right, you can go outside the ISS and into the darkness. In the final chapter of the experience you step through a light tunnel and into a nebula – you feel weightless.
Anyone interested in the cosmos and beyond should visit Eclipso this Summer. The experience is suitable for kids ages 8 and up. The footage puts the viewers as close to outer space as possible without having to become an astronaut themselves. Fewer than 300 people have travelled to the ISS in the past two decades. Eclispo is providing a rare opportunity to broaden that number through virtual reality with this groundbreaking experience. Space Explorers: The ISS Experience will be available for exploration through September 30th.
