During a recent visit to Tipsy Scoop’s Manhattan location, DOWNTOWN Magazine sampled several of the brand’s offerings. Served by the lovely employee Kiki, we explored a selection of liquor-infused flavors that showcased the company’s unique concept.

The treat that recently went viral combines the classic summer drink with a refreshing cup of soft-serve ice cream. “The way the fruit flavors blend together with the tequila is addicting. It’s by far my favorite,” says Rachel Herz, a New Jersey resident. Topped with edible flowers and a gummy citrus wedge, its presentation couldn’t be more reminiscent of a tropical vacation.

The sundae is crafted from cake batter vodka martini ice cream and topped with classic birthday-cake-inspired decorations. The birthday theme is enhanced by the sprinkles and sugar cone pieces, proving to be delicious for any day of the year. The celebratory treat also offers an additional shot of any boozy ice cream flavor of your choosing.

A Boozy Flight

Can’t decide on just one flavor? Customers can select four miniature servings on a ‘boozy flight,’ a tray that allows you to sample a variety of flavors. Below are DOWNTOWN’s flight picks.

Mango Margherita Sorbet

Bright, refreshing, and perfectly suited for summer, this sorbet combines tequila and orange liqueur with a tropical mango flavor. It evokes the feeling of a beachside vacation with a familiar taste of a frozen margarita.

Goslings Rum Dark ‘N Stormy

Mixed with Goslings Rum, this ginger lime sorbet more closely resembles cocktails compared to the other selections. “It’s an excellent choice if you’re in the mood for stronger liquid flavoring,” adds Herz. The lime flavor blends beautifully with the rum, creating a refreshing summer treat.

Vanilla Ice Cream (Alcohol-Free)

Tipsy Scoop also offers several alcohol-free flavors for visitors who prefer traditional ice cream. We sampled the classic vanilla, which is crafted from Tahitian vanilla bean. It provided a sweet contrast to the cocktail flavors. Additional alcohol-free flavors include virgin piña colada, lemon sorbet, cookies and cream, and chocolate.

Soft Serve Margherita

We loved the mouth-watering soft serve, also available in a miniature size as part of the flight.

In a city filled with desserts, Tipsy Scoop’s unique ice cream sets it apart from other shops. Whether you’re looking for a creative twist on your favorite cocktail or a simple summer treat, the brand’s liquor-infused ice cream delivers a memorable experience. In addition to their physical locations, you can ship Tipsy Scoop flavors right to your door here.
