LUCAS MUSEUM OF NARRATIVE ART, a futuristic new museum blending art and nature co-created by director George Lucas and wife Mellody Hobson, is preparing for a Sept. 2026 opening, in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park.

It will be designed by renowned architect Ma Yansong of MAD Architects. The Lucas Museum will be situated on an 11 acre campus, designed by Studio-MLA, with extensive galleries, two state-of-the-art theaters, and dedicated spaces for learning and engagement, dining, retail, and events.

The collection of highlights will feature work by illustrators such as Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth, comic book artists Frank Frazetta, Jack Kirby, Robert Crumb, muralists Diego Rivera, Judith F. Baca, seminal works by Frida Kahlo, the entire Historic Lucasfilm Archive (1979-2012), and much more.
