DOWNTOWN was recently hosted at Daniel on the Upper East Side for a US Open watch party courtesy of Evian. We were delighted to try some of Daniel Boulud’s Frances Tiafoe–inspired dishes, such as the Avocado & Burrata Gazpacho — which mimicked the look of a melted tennis ball but, thankfully, didn’t taste like one!
The curation reflected the lifestyle of Tiafoe, whose high degree of taste and athleticism translates into excellence both on and off the menu, as well as on and off the court. Highlights included the Castroville artichoke “quadro raviolis,” paired with basil, sunflower, and a fragrant barigoule consommé, finished with a Parmesan tuile.
The Poulet “à la Tiafoe” sealed the game point with Sasso chicken, stewed peppers, tomato, peanut, and sweet potato.
It was nothing short of a perfect meal. Game. Set. Match. Photo Courtesy of @plural_co.
