NOMOS Glashutte hosted a launch party to celebrate breaking into the US watch market. Luckily for us, they chose the Big Apple as their official launch location. NOMOS Glashutte is a fine German watchmaking company specializing in manual winding and automatic mechanical watches. Since 2005, NOMOS has been dedicated to designing its watches in-house. Last Thursday, June 12th, NOMOS held a private press review at the Hotel Particulier to showcase their signature German craftsmanship. Guests were able to chat with the executives and designers behind the fine, handmade watches and learn more about the intricate process of creating a luxurious time-piece. Germany’s national Sunday newspaper, Welt am Sonntag, calls it, “a watch like a Porsche.” During the event, NOMOS and their US retail partner Wempe 5th Avenue each made a $10,000 donation to Doctors Without Borders. Time is money, after all, and the NOMOS watch brand knows it is best spent when supporting a charitable cause.
