When it comes to drinking tea, the debate among which has the most benefits and properties is usually argued. Though despite the disputes, there’s an obvious commonality among the types: each are insanely good for you. Tea is guaranteed way to cleanse, fortify, and hydrate your body. Working from the inside out, drinking enough tea helps bolster your immune system while radiating your skin. But with so many types, you might be unfamiliar with some, so let’s get acquainted.

Chamomile Tea: Transcending the tea category, chamomile stands on it own for being the biggest combat against stomach cramps. Also known for acting as a relaxant, it helps with anxiety attacks and insomnia. Drink a cup just 30-45 minutes before bed to aid sleep. Working from the inside out, this tea has been proven to improve dermatological conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

Dandelion Tea: This tea is synonymous with detoxifying, consuming this tea will aid cleansing your liver. It contains ample amounts of zinc, iron, magnesium and vitamins A, C, and D. Dandelion tea also acts as a diuretic, which increases kidney function. This tea is known to have antioxidant properties, which means that drinking it in appropriate amounts will help your body avoid cell damage from free radicals.

Black Tea: Most common of the teas, black tea stands alone or may be infused with a variety of fruity and seasonal flavors. This tea is most popular in the Western world, known to have the highest amount of caffeine amongst all teas. Leaving you alert and full of energy, many tea lovers use this as a lighter substitute to coffee. Black Tea can lower your risks for diabetes, high cholesterol levels and Parkinson’s disease.

Green Tea: Contrary to black tea, this tea has a very low caffeine content. Though, similar to chamomile,  green tea is the ideal meditative aid. Green tea is most popularly known this tea is wildly consumed  because of it’s weight loss and fat burning qualities. Loaded with antioxidants, green tea helps ward off cancers like prostate and breast. This tea is even better served chilled.
