Move over Tinder, there’s a new dating app on the playing field. Created with the fitness community in mind, Sweatt offers up an online platform for enthusiasts looking to fall in love with like-minded fitness junkies. Since its launch in January has already been downloaded over 100,000 times.

While a meet-cute at the gym makes for a great story and a sweet beginning to a relationship, Sweatt also acknowledges that the dating scene has changed and the gym may not be the easiest or most ideal place to strike up a conversation.

Much like its fellow dating apps such as Happn and Bumble, Sweatt lets users customize their profiles with photos and details about themselves. But takes on a focus on fitness lifestyle by letting its users share their top two fitness activities, favorite time of the day to work out and the like. At Sweatt, they believe that a healthy relationship often starts through shared or similar interests and wanted to create a place for fitness lovers to meet.

“Fitness is so much more than the time we spend working out. Our commitment to fitness dictates so many of the choices we make on a daily basis. Chances of compatibility are heightened when you choose to date people with shared interests, lifestyles, and mindsets,” says Dan Ilani, Sweatt Founder.

Sweatt isn’t just for hardcore athletes, but for everyone with a special interest in the fitness lifestyle and a commitment to working out whether it be yogis or CrossFitters. They don’t believe in matching solely on runners meeting other runners but instead, take into consideration how and when you work out – not only what kind of exercise you do. Once a match is made the app informs you that someone ‘sweatts’ you and takes you to a dynamic Instagram-like feed where matches can start chatting and upload photos to get a more personal and in-the-moment jump on building a healthy relationship.

Currently only available for iOS operating systems, Sweatt is now available for download from the Apple App Store.
