Join some of the world’s most renowned chefs for the Iconoclast Dinner Experience on June 6 at the James Beard House. Taste the dinners, wines, and spirits designed for the event by a variety of culinary artists such as Bravo’s Top Chefs Nina Compton and Tre Wilcox, Junior “The Liquid Chef” Merino and BACARDI’s Colin Asare Appiah.

The night consists of a reception, dinner, and an after party at another location.

The reception features dishes such as jumbo lump crab, seared foie gras, smoked tuna tartare, and more. These are accompanied by two wines: Brown Estate Chaos Theory 2013 Napa Valley, USA and Indaba Sauvignon Blanc 2014 Cape Province, South Africa. Spirits from BACARDI are also available during the reception, including the Pearl Martini, Otis Cocktail, Green River, and Aquarius.

The dinner portion of the evening gives guests a range of options prepared by a list of highly accomplished chefs. These chefs include Tre Wilcox, Nina Compton, Preston Clark, Nyesha J. Arrington, Joe “JJ” Johnson, and Graham Hornigold. The wine pairings for this array of fabulous dishes are provided by Chaine des Rotisseurs’ Best Young Sommelier South Africa, Luvo Ntezo, One&Only Cape Town.

The location of the dinner experience, the James Beard House, holds great importance to the American cooking tradition. It is the former home of James Beard, the Dean of American Cookery. It is a great honor for chefs to cook in this historical location. The James Beard Foundation will work with The Dental Kidz Foundation, a non-profit organizations supporting the education of girls, women and under-represented minorities.

The James Beard Foundation is also working to raise money towards the Dr. Lezli Levene Harvell Scholarship for International  Students at Spelman College, which helps Jamaican and sub-Saharan African students.

The Iconoclast Dinner Experience is truly an extraordinary dining opportunity for those who want to taste world-class dishes, and should not be missed by those with a true passion for food. Check out their website for the chance to buy tickets for the event on June 6.
