Maintaining healthy snacking habits is not always easy. With so many delicious snacks out there to choose from, we don’t always reach for the celery or the apple. Balance is key in any diet, so if you go for the cookies or chips one day, try a more nutritious snack the next. We’ve rounded up a list of snacks that fall in the happy medium between tasty and healthy. Here’s our picks for the tastiest snacks of summer:
Noosa Yoghurt “Mates”
Noosa has just released a new line of yoghurt and topping pairings called “Mates.” They’re a charming balance of sweetness and tartness, and they still get you those healthy bacterias and probiotics that are helpful to your diet. Noosa’s quality yoghurts are made in Colorado, and the “Mates” line is the newest in their offerings of fresh, sweet yoghurts. “Mates” toppings include honey cranberry almond, coconut almond chocolate, maple ginger, honey pretzel peanut and banana peanut chocolate. Try the Maple ginger for a taste of a crisp fall day in the summer heat.
Thrive Bars

These granola bars aren’t just for hikers. While they fit snugly into a pack, they can also ride in your lunch box, fill you up on the way to work or keep you going when you need a midday snack. The Thrive bars are one of a few different bars offered by GoMacro, a family-owned company that focuses on creating foods with natural ingredients. The bars are vegan, gluten-free and studded with ancient seeds. Our favorite flavors are chocolate nuts and sea salt, ginger lemon and chocolate peanut butter cup.
Skinnygirl Popcorn
While Skinnygirl got its start selling low calorie alcoholic beverages, the brand is actually on the snack scene too. “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel‘s skinny snack empire offers everything from salad dressing to chocolate to preservative-free chicken breasts. Our favorite Skinnygirl snack is the popcorn. When you think popcorn flavors, lime probably isn’t the first ingredient that comes to mind. But Skinnygirl’s Lime & Salt popcorn is a light, fresh snack that feels more like a treat.
Antidote Chocolate
If you believe chocolate can cure anything, this might be the snack for you. Antidote’s line of milk and dark chocolate bars draws on an array of flavor inspirations. Whether you prefer vanilla, strawberry, lavender, banana or ginger, they’ve got the perfect compliment to your chocolate craving.
Pressed Juicery Juices

No matter your stance on juice cleanses, the juices at Pressed Juicery are tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day. There are ample flavors to choose from, and each is made with raw natural ingredients. Gone are the days of kale-only and lemongrass-green juices – you can find every color of the rainbow on their menu. Try the watermelon lemon mint for a sweet summer sip.
Aida Crisps
These light and tasty Currant Tumeric Crisps are our favorite from Aida‘s set of snacks for entertaining. They’ll pair wonderfully with many of your favorite cheeses (think baked brie), or they can be enjoyed by themselves as a snack. A standout on your appetizing cheeseboard or as a bagged-up side to your sandwich at lunch, these delightful little crisps are satisfying and slightly spicy.
Muscle Milk Protein Bars

Around 4 p.m., the late afternoon hunger kicks in and we’re often left wondering if we can make it until dinner. Muscle Milk protein bars are satisfying and yummy – the ideal snack to keep you full until it’s time for supper. They come in a variety of flavors including birthday cake, blueberry waffle, chocolate peanut butter, raspberry cheesecake and salted caramel (so they’re perfect for dessert, too!).
