SOUTHAMPTON:
New York City nightlife hot spot Beautique is slated to open at the Hotel Capri on Memorial Day weekend. The restaurant will serve brunch and dinner, as well as small plates in the outdoor bar and lounge. Greg Grossman is the Executive Chef. As per Jon B, the owner, “The Brunch By The Pool” is going to be the place to be all summer.
Le Cirque’s more casual outpost Circo will open at 268 Elm Street in Southampton, where we expect a similar menu as its location in Midtown. Upper East Side favorite, Le Charlot opened a new location in Southampton last November, and has quickly become a favorite with locals. Our favorites : The endives avocado followed by the steak aux poivres.
Tutto il Giorno has never left Southampton, but we need to mention it, as it is always one of the favorites. Gaby Karan has done such a fabulous job with the decor, and Chef Maurizio serves some of the best Italian food around: Our favorite: The whole Branzino, and The Ciopino (fish and shellfish stew).
EAST HAMPTON:
Further East: Philippe Chow is back on Three Miles Harbor Road; expect the classic Chinese dishes like salt & pepper lobster, chicken, shrimp and steak satay; filet mignon with oyster sauce, pink prawns, and the famous Peking Duck carved at your table and served with homemade pancakes.
After a great past summer on Three Mile Harbor Road, Bay Kitchen Bar is back. It is one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset sipping on your favorite cocktail. Chef Eric Miller, is bringing back his fresh local seafood dishes. Naturally, there is always the classic and long standing Nick and Tony’s. We know that you will want to go there at least once during the season!
SAG HARBOR: Richie Notar is back for season 2 at Harlow East. Expect lots of good looking people all day long until very late at night.
MONTAUK:
Scarpetta on the Beach has taken over the Gurney’s Resort & Seawater Spa in Montauk, and will open its doors on 5/22. We cannot wait to check this one out.
The always reliable Surf Lodge is a great place to take in some amazing views and offers a fun atmosphere. Similarly, Navy on the Beach is the perfect spot for some summertime fun; they are two favorites in Montauk.
SHELTER ISLAND:
One cannot visit or stay in the Hamptons and not pay a visit to Sunset Beach. If it was not for the crowd, you could imagine being in France. Go early in the afternoon, relax, enjoy a dinner with a view, and then take in the nightlife until the early morning hours.
Expects to see tables at all those hot spots on Today’s Epicure website and App, starting May 12.
Happy Summer everyone!
