The big Thanksgiving experience can be a struggle, and there’s no shame in opting out for a Thanksgiving meal courtesy of someone else’s hard work. With that said, here are some great places to enjoy an upscale Thanksgiving dinner with no effort on your part.
1) L’Amico (849 Avenue of the Americas)
For a classic Thanksgiving that’s sure to be delicious, head to L’Amico. The Italian-influenced American restaurant will be serving a prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu ($68) complete with turkey and cranberry-orange mostarda, butternut squash soup and pumpkin pie.
2) Dirty French (180 Ludlow Street)
The popular French bistro known for its creative twists on French food will be offering a three-course creative menu ($95) that of course includes turkey but with a twist–it’s served with crêpes. Dessert includes a chocolate-pecan-bourbon tart and baked Alaska.
3) Monument Lane (103 Greenwich Avenue)
The regionally-inspired West Village bistro with it’s commitment to sustainable cuisine will be offering a three-course Thanksgiving feast for $72 a head. Get excited for roasted Satur Farm beets, Long Island duck breast and pumpkin cheesecake.
4) Recette (328 W 12th Street)
The seasonally inspired intimate restaurant will be adding a Thanksgiving menu ($85): four courses starring a shallots and almond streusel, roasted monkfish, turkey with all the fixins and a delectable dessert including a lemon buttermilk ice cream.
5) Freemans (End Of Freeman Alley, off of Rivington Street)
The cozy old-American restaurant located near Bowery will be serving a four course traditional Thanksgiving meal ($85). With devils on horseback, crispy pork belly, that classic turkey and pie, Freemans is the place to do Thanksgiving the classic way.
6) Lupulo (835 6th Avenue)
For something a little bit out of the box, head to Lupulo for a Portuguese twist on Thanksgiving norms. The Lupulo family-style turkey dinner ($45) is complete with that good, good turkey, blood sausage stuffing, brussels sprouts and more. Complement it with one of their delicious desserts for a little bit of Portuguese in your Thanksgiving meal.
7) Ssäm Bar (207 Second Avenue)
If you don’t want to dress up and go out but still want Thanksgiving with people you care about, order Ssäm Bar’s Thanksgiving Bo To-Go ($350). The full meal, which serves 8, includes roasted pork shoulder, biscuits and maple butter, sweet potato puree and apple pie cake. Order it here.
