At SUGARCANE raw bar grill, guests are invited to “kick back, eat well, and stay a while.” Chef Partner Timon Balloo has brought his lauded style from Miami to Dumbo and we are all for it. The combination of dishes from the raw bar, open fire grill, and traditional kitchen ensure that the menu is always exciting and that there is something for everyone.

A highlight of the brunch menu at SUGARCANE is the duck and waffles, a dish so good it inspired spinoff restaurants in London named for it. This take on chicken and waffles features crispy confit duck leg, a fried duck egg, and mustard maple syrup. Why go to London when you can have it in Brooklyn?

Though this torrejas French toast is on the dessert menu, we’d like to argue for it’s inclusion in your breakfast meal. The French toast is made with dulce de leche soaked bread, topped with maple caramelized apples, and served with cinnamon ice cream. Dessert for breakfast, what’s more indulgent!
