Creative Director of Worship Luxury, Deborah Hunter, has created a collection of wedding bouquets inspired by colors and textures that are anticipated to be prominent in the fashion industry this fall. The bouquets are designed after Gucci, The Row, Prada and Simone Rocha and all have raw stems.

Working with Hunter to create a wedding bouquet is an unrivaled experience. She has upwards of 20 years of experience in the design industry and tailors all of her floral arrangements down to a T.

“Usually the first thing I want to know is, ‘What does the bride’s dress look like?’ because right there you get a lot of information about the bride—you know what kind of price range she’s going to be in. I ask what the dress is, I see what the dress is,” Hunter said.

Before meeting with a bride, Hunter has her fill out a detailed questionnaire to get a better sense of who she is. She prefers to meet with both the bride and her partner, but if only one can make it that’s okay, too.

“I want to meet with you, I want to click with you, and then we create it together, because a wedding day is not about me, its all about the couple. I like to meet both partners at the same time if possible. Some people aren’t interested—one partner isn’t, the other one is—that works too,” Hunter said.

When she meets with the couple, she will educate them on flower types and often have the bride complete an exercise to gain inspiration. One of her go-to exercises is to have her create a Pinterest board.

“A lot of times they will do Pinterest boards. They will pick their favorite thing, or just one thing that it isn’t even necessarily going to end up with, but its inspiration. Then we sit down, we talk, I show them things we’ve done in the past,” Hunter said.

Although Hunter does share previous bouquet designs with her clients, she rarely mimics her own work.

“I’m never going to do that exact thing unless they ask for it. Usually they come with an idea and we work together to make it there’s. This is what I feel is important…that doesn’t necessarily mean that is what they want. Its more inspirational for them I guess, to turn them on and excite them,” Hunter said.

Even if Hunter finishes a bouquet early on, she is always open to—and often even anticipates making minor changes.

“Sometimes they will change their mind right up to the last minute. All of a sudden they see something they like better, ‘What about this?’ so from our point of view, we go with the flow, because it’s their day, it’s the biggest day of their lives. If it changes, we change with it,” Hunter said.

All of Worship Luxury’s flowers are imported daily from Holland, which Hunter describes as a Mecca for florists.

“I get the freshest, I get the best. I’ve got the world at my feet because of Holland—I’m lucky,” Hunter said.

Here are the seven bouquets and four themes as described by Vincent Ehly, a close friend and colleague of Hunter’s that contributed to the designs.
