After only two rides, I can honestly say that I have never worn any kit as comfortable as this. Quite a statement considering I have been cycling now for 28 years. During that time period, I have worn many different brands and I have become partial to a few. However, Velocio has quickly and emphatically climbed to the top of my “elenco preferiti.”
Let me begin with a fit note that is most important. The Signature Jersey and Signature Bib Short that I tested are both cut true to size. They will feel much tighter than most other brands. Velocio clothing is designed to allow a full range of motion despite the compressive fit. Initially, I felt I had to move to a larger size but then realized it was not necessary.
Made from Italian polyamide-elastane fabric, the aerodynamic Signature Jersey is extremely light and stretchy. It is engineered with mesh side panels, a low profile collar, and silicone grippers to keep it in place. For additional comfort, printed size markers rather than annoying tags are utilized. A water resistant pocket is included as one of the four back pockets along with reflective logos and trim for greater visibility at night. All of these features make this jersey quite simply the most comfortable top you will ever wear.
Also made in Italy, the Men’s Signature Bib, not only matches the jersey in aesthetics, but in comfort and quality as well. Designed with a proprietary leg band, the compressive bib is cut anatomically with strategically placed seams that offer impeccable fit regardless of your riding position. The high density padded Next Generation Cytech Anatomical chamois is extremely comfortable; the most agreeable pad I have ever sat on.
Together, these two make up one amazingly sufficient kit. I am unable to find any flaws with either piece and I highly recommend the Velocio brand. Certainly many will question the price tag for Velocio apparel but in this case, “you get what you pay for!” I only wish all of my cycling clothing felt as “bello.”
