2. Poets For Puerto Rico: A Reading for Hurricane Relief

Hosted by Willie Perdomo, Poets For Puerto Rico benefits the relief efforts of Comedores Sociales De Puerto Rico. Poets from “Puerto Rico, the diaspora, and beyond,” include Elizabeth Alexander, Lydia Cortes, Caridad De La Luz (“La Bruja”), Sandra María Esteves, Yusef Komunyakaa,Nancy Mercado, Sami Miranda, Yesenia Montilla, John Murillo, Cynthia Dewi Oka, Gregory Pardlo, Bonafide Rojas, Patrick Rosal and many others. Suggested donation $20.

3. NYC Craft Beer Fest

You’re in a for a real brewer’s treat at the NYC Craft Beer Festival! Over 75 breweries from across the country will be pouring their limited release and seasonal selections of beers, meads and ciders. Tickets start at $45.

4. Big Apple Film Festival

The Big Apple Film Festival showcases films from New York City’s lively independent film community. An intimate affair, BAFF celebrates NYC films and filmmakers, holds panel discussions and presents awards. Tickets start at $20.
