When deciding what to give your loved ones this Christmas, think about the excitement they will have as they unwrap the gift. Think about seeing their sheer delight and gratitude because you did your homework and chose that oh-so-special gift.
This year will be one that they will remember for years to come. Of course, you can give the most tending tie, shirt, golf clubs, or even a sports jacket, but will they remember and show it off each time they use it? The best gifts are the ones that stay with us for life, and ones that we cherish every time we use it.
We have heard the calls for help, so we went above and beyond to help you find that truly memorable gift for each of your loved ones.
We chose the historical Eberhard & Co. watches because they boast over a 130 years of research and passion. Since 1887 the Swiss brand has been synonymous with excellence and innovation, which are represented in precious timepieces with high technical content that have marked important stages: the pocket chronograph, the first wrist chronograph, right up to dual time watches.
Creations that stand out for their quality and style and that express the values of great Swiss tradition.
For this year give the gift with history and a lifetime of enjoyment, from Georges-Lucien Eberhard.
The 1887 Remontage Manuel comes in a 41.80 mm x 9.60 mm stainless steel case with a slim bezel to leave ample space to the elegant dial.
This is available in two variations: gold or rhodium-plated numbers and indices. The “clou de Paris” decoration and the trapezoidal date window, which has already been adopted by Eberhard & Co. for some historical models, add a retro touch to this model. The logo on the dial is part of the historical heritage and is documented in the archives of the early 1900s. The dial is completed by rhodium-plated or golden Roman numerals, rhomboidal indices, and Dauphine hands. The central second’s hand stands out for its blue color.
Entirely and exclusively produced for Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the new Calibre EB140 is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case-back revealing its beautiful finishes. The bridge for the balance wheel and the large bridge for the gear trains are decorated with a “circular wave” pattern. The screws are blued and the incisions are gilded. Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this movement offers a 40-hour power reserve.
In addition to the traditional alligator leather strap, the new model can be matched to a Jacquard silk strap, in two different versions combined with the two dials, produced exclusively for Eberhard by the Ulturale tie-maker, one of the best-known ambassadors of this historic Neapolitan sartorial tradition.
Water-resistant to 30 meters / 100 feet, the Eberhard 1887 Remontage Manuel Ref. 21028 has a price of Swiss Francs 3,640 with the silk strap or Swiss Francs 3,720 with the alligator leather strap.
