Downtown’s Top 10 Spring/Summer 2017 Trends

by | Apr 28, 2017 | Fashion

Although NYC weather is not completely spring-like at the moment, with the month of May right around the corner, our wardrobes have officially transitioned from heavy coats to flowy dresses.

We spotted a couple remarkable trends on the runways in September as designers showcased their Spring/Summer ’17 collection. Notable trends went from exaggerated stripes and various shades of pink to jumpsuits and head-to-toe floral motifs. Additionally, top brands seemed to all agree on one thing: Bigger is better.

This spring and summer, designs are all about being playful with large silhouettes and exaggerated patterns. The sun will bring originality in terms of wardrobe and accessories with key players in the fashion industry betting on flashy colors as well as underwear becoming outerwear.

Downtown has picked some of our favorite pieces from brands such as Acne Studios, Marc Jacobs and Karen Walker. Here are our top finds for Spring/Summer 2017. The Dotty Watch 34MMMarc Jacobs, The Dotty Watch 34MM, $250
