Over the past few days, workers have been planting seeds in Liberty park for its upcoming revival at the World Trade Center.

Designed by architect Stephen E. Brown,  the park will certainly give an added sense of renewal to the downtown area. Already, there have been 50 trees planted. By the end of the project there will be over 1,000 shrubs in the plaza.

This park will certainly spark the attention of visitors and locals alike.

According to Downtown Express, the WTC site manager Steven  Plate states, “We think this is gonna be a place to go,” he said on Monday. “People can look over the site and just enjoy what we built here for decades and centuries to come.”

The park is set to be finished next summer.
