Target to Open on Greenwich Street

Our dream has finally come true. Everyone’s favorite, inexpensive and convenient retail store is coming downtown.

In being the first Target ever to open downtown, it has certainly landed a golden oppurtunity. This will only add revenue to its other location in East Harlem along with another store that will open in Brooklyn sometime in 2016 as well.

This location will be different from others, offering “smaller, commuter-friendly packaging” and “apartment-sized furniture, too,” according to Huffington Post.

The store will be opening in October of 2016 on 255 Greenwich and will occupy a 48,242 space.

This will be a perfect addition to the area, which makes up many students, businesspeople and families.

“According to the Alliance for Downtown New York, the neighborhood is now home to more than 60,000 families, 323,000 employees, and 12.4 million annual visitors.”
