New Luxury Movie Theater Set to Open at Seaport

by | Oct 29, 2015 | Culture, News

Projected in 2016, there will be a new resource for movie theatergoers downtown that will offer many luxurious amenities. According to the company’s Senior Vice President Paul Safran, the theater chain iPic will be opening a space next year in Fulton Market Building.

iPic is not your typical moviegoing experience, offering delectable in-theater food, alcohol and very comfortable seating. Those who purchase a premium plus ticket get access to even comfier seating options with tentative, stealthy waiters that will discreetly deliver food and drink orders. The space will also have a dine-in restaurant and will have eight separate auditoriums with seats that inquirers can book online ahead of time.

This project is one of many that are being implemented to revive the South Street Seaport.
