Beach Baby Fitness will begin offering its Bar Core classes in the Pine Street School. Bar Core is a mixture of abdominal re-training, postural exercises, back strengthening, toning and stretching integrated with the ballet bar. The class focuses on initiating movement from the core and proper technique and alignment during exercises. The class will be offered right after preschool drop off on Mondays at 9:30am starting January 12th.

Beach Baby Fitness is a pre and post-natal fitness program designed to keep you strong during pregnancy and transition back to exercise after birth. Everyone is checked for diastasis recti separation, a common occurrence with pregnancy that can linger if not properly evaluated. Classes can be modified for injuries, each trimester or pregnancy and all fitness levels.

The new Bar Core class is building on the success of the Core Conditioning classes at the TriBeCa location. This class is answering the demand for local fitness classes for moms in the FiDi while their kids are in preschool.

Beach Baby Fitness offers classes that are BYOBaby. Mom can bring her baby or toddler to play in a supervised group while she gets a workout. Bar Core is offered for moms and expecting moms without kids present.

Solange Ross is the founder of Beach Baby Fitness. She is a women’s health physical therapist, personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She was inspired to create this program after the birth of her first baby in 2008 when she met many moms having difficulty getting back into exercise after birth.
