Michelle Obama will be in Manhattan this afternoon as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation announces a donation towards ending childhood obesity, according to CBS New York.

The foundation, developed over 40 years ago, focuses on improving different aspects of health in the United States. Today’s donation will further the foundation’s 2007 commitment of dedicating $500 million to the cause.  The first lady is a known supporter of ending childhood obesity, developing the Let’s Move campaign in 2010 to improve health and promote active lifestyle changes.

The event will take place at the Edward A. Reynolds West Side High School on the Upper West Side.
